- Auto-configurable Service. The customer will configure the VPS with CPU and RAM Hardware and Storage according to his/her needs.
- VPS Maximum Number to be provided will be 9, up to 3 servers per Data Center (in 3 available regions: Havana/Mayabeque/Las Tunas).
- For service contracting and use, the customer must have a nauta email account (user@nauta.cu), which will be used to login on the management interface and to receive invoicing and service-related information. Otherwise, the customer will have to contract it through the channels as currently established.
- ETECSA will make a management interface with public access available to customers, by using the url with secure protocol https (URL: https://cloud.cd.etecsa.cu/vcac/org/naturales). The site will run with a self-signed certificate and the recommended browser is Google Chrome. The portal language is automatically adapted to the browser language used by customers.
- The management interface will be reachable from the entire national territory by using:
- a permanent nauta account for national or international navigation with domain name @nauta.co.cu or @nauta.com.cu in ETECSA’s fixed or wireless public sites and nauta service
- the mobile telephony data packages with a 300-MB bonus for national navigation.
- national network internet services allowing the access.
- The offer includes a public IP address, through which the customer manages his/her virtual server.
- The customer will have from the management interface a control panel with a set of Basic Operations. The customer could also activate the Additional Payment Services, whenever:
- VM Back-Up Service with a VM Restore option
- Additional Monthly Transfer (250 GB). This value is rebooted every 1ˢͭ day of the month at the commercial offer value, regardless of the day on which the customer activates it in the current month.
Both services will always be available from the technological platform and its enablement in the commercial office is free of charge.
On the Platform, its default status is available and idle, they are only activated with operations carried out and configured by the customer from the management interface, by using the Control Panel operations. Once activated by the customer, the platform is capable of identifying it and generating the corresponding charges of monthly invoicing.
- It is a precondition to have knowledge and necessary skill to configure, administrate, maintain, control and ensure the virtual server contracted.
- The customer must make security copies of the virtual server to be provided, its configuration, content and all the information hosted in the service for its possible restoration in case of loss.
- Being older than 18 years, permanent or temporary Cuban or foreign resident.
- Having a nauta email account (user@nauta.cu) to login in the management interface service, receive notifications and the service invoice.
- Having a way of access to Internet: for example, mobile data, nauta Hogar service, or any other access allowing to access the management interface.
- Having knowledge and the necessary skills allowing the person to configure, administrate and control the contracted virtual server.
The applicant can contract a permanent nauta access account including an email account @nauta.cu. This service is currently marketed in the ETECSA’s commercial offices and it is independent of the hosting service.

You must visit the nearest ETECSA’s specialized commercial office to your residence, where you will purchase the service subscription and execute the contract. Once the contract is signed, ETECSA has 24 hours to notify the customer by email about its service activation. After receiving such notification, the customer could access the management interface to configure the virtual server according to his/her needs.
The following Commercial Offices are specialized in each province. The individual will have to contract the service in the commercial office nearest to his/her home.

The VPS administration will be through a management interface with public access by using an URL with secure protocol https (URL: https://cloud.cd.etecsa.cu/vcac/org/naturales
- From Internet using a permanent nauta account for national or international navigation with domain name @nauta.co.cu or @nauta.com.cu, the administration will be available.
- From mobile data to a tariff differentiated for ending on .cu, taking into consideration the 300-MB bonus for the national navigation associated to the data packages.
- From Internet services on national networks allowing the access, you could also administrate your site.
- From ETECSA fixed and wireless public sites as well as nauta Hogar service
To manage the server, it can be done through SSH or Remote Machine.
- To be connected through SSH, you must choose the real allocated IP address and establish a connection with a SSH customer.
- To be connected to the remote machine, you must use Google Chrome browser with an updated version, choose the virtual machine and follow the instructions.

Yes, VPS is deployed with a user which is on the list of sudoers (administrators’ list) and a scale of root privileges.
The bandwidth provided is 100 Mbps for each virtual private server which is included in the service commercial offer.

We offer two Additional Payment Services. These two services will always be available and there is no cost to enable them from the Commercial Office. In the Platform their default status is available and idle, they are only enabled with operations you carry out and configure from the management interface, making use of the Control Panel operations

In the contracting process for the VPS service in the Commercial Office, the backup service will be enabled at no cost.
Subsequently, you will have the possibility of activating or not the service in the BackUp Service option and the possibility of Restoring your computer to a previous state in the Restore VM option through the management interface.

Remember that this service activation impacts the VPS monthly billing. You must wait at most one week to be able to enjoy the restore point. Disabling the service does not lead to the elimination of the restore point carried out while the service was enabled, only this will expire 5 weeks after it was created.

When your VPS Transfer consumption threshold reaches 80%, ETECSA sends you a notification to your nauta email. Through the management interface you can activate it whenever you want. ETECSA will send you a notice to your nauta email when the consumption threshold of your VPS Transfer reaches 80%. You have the possibility of activating through the management interface, the Additional monthly transfer service that is paid at the corresponding rate at the end of the month. This Additional transfer volume is valid only within the current month. On the first day of each month it restarts at the value of the established commercial offer.
If you do not wish to contract this additional service, when you consume the total volume of your monthly Transfer, your VPS Internet access will be disabled until the end of the current month. On the first day of the following month, the Transfer volume of the service offer will be restored.

Yes, you have the possibility to add a new disk (HDD) from the control panel, by using the Add New Disk operation. This allows you, in case you decide to leave the VPS in the initial state, to do it just by removing the added disk manually. You are responsible for the “file system”, so you should perform these actions with extreme caution.
It is advisable to have several disks instead of one disk with a very large capacity.
Yes. With this option you can create a snapshot of your VPS. It is very useful when you need to make drastic changes in the system or test a new functionality.
- Longevity period of 48 hours, after this time it is automatically deleted.
- If memory is included the runtime is restored (snapshot with VPS on and memory is saved, then at the end of the restore the state is ON and Running).
- You can only create one snapshot per VPS, if you need to create another one you must first delete the existing one.
- It should be noted that if you want to add a new disk it is important to make the hardware changes first and then the snapshot.

Yes, resources of each VPS can be reduced. CPU and RAM resources can be reduced only when the VPS is turned off. In the case of storage, the previously added space can be eliminated.
To reduce the CPU and RAM, you must first turn off the VPS and go to the Reconfigure HW option. It is also possible to delete a hard disk by using the Delete VM Disk option.
Yes, the IP remains during the lifetime of your VPS, the IP is only lost when the VPS is destroyed.
- Subscription fee charged only once at the commercial office when contracting the service (PREPAID): 250.00 CUP.
- Charge per consumption (hours of resource use): CPU, RAM (GB) and Storage (GB) (POSTPAID).
- The calculation form for the service pricing is as follows:
- Daily Storage cost = Storage contracted X Cost/h.
- Daily vCPU cost = vCPU contracted X uptime X Cost/h
- Daily cost of RAM = RAM allocated X uptime X Cost/h
VPS daily cost = vCPU daily cost + RAM daily cost + Storage daily cost.
- The Storage resource will always be taken into account in the consumption, regardless of whether the VPS is on or not.
- The billing start date is on which the VPS is created through the management interface made available to the customer.
- ETECSA will issue an invoice each month containing the details of each Virtual Server contracted for the resource consumption (CPU, RAM, Storage), as well as the additional Payment Services if they have been enabled.
- The invoice will be sent, after its issuance, to the nauta email address declared by the customer.
- At any ETECSA’s commercial office in the country in cash, check or through bank cards (at the moment only cards issued by the Central Bank of Cuba (RED cards) are accepted through the banks: Banco Metropolitano, Banco de Crédito y Comercio (Bandec, for its acronym in Spanish), Banco Popular de Ahorro (BPA, for its acronym in Spanish) and Banco Internacional de Comercio S.A (BICSA, for its acronym in Spanish).
- Through the existing payment facilities of the service bill, telecommunications agents, ATMs, Transfermóvil and telebanking by using the ATM payment code (ATM ID) enabled for the service.
Yes, you will receive an invoice by mail with the consumption details of the resources contracted in the month and using the ATM payment code (ATM ID) from Transfermóvil you can pay for the service.
- At the end of the due date of the invoice, if payment has not been made, Internet access to the virtual server will be disabled.
- Thirty (30) calendar days after the expiration of the previous term, ETECSA will proceed to turn off the customer's virtual server and will proceed to its elimination.
- If the customer pays the total amount of the debt before the expiration of (60) calendar days as of the invoice issuance date that originates the debt, the virtual server's Internet access will be enabled.
You must take care of saving all the content that you wish to keep from your virtual server before requesting the service cancellation.
We guarantee for the assistance and response to customers as a priority the email, through the address ayuda.cdatos@etecsa.cu available 24 hours a day. The customer must specify "VPS Report" in the subject line of the email in case of any interruption in order to facilitate its classification.
