The Secretary General of the Inter-American Association of Telecommunications Companies (ASIET, for its acronym in Spanish), Maryleana Méndez, will participate in Informática 2022 with the Keynote Lecture: Digitalization as a fundamental pillar for the economic and social development of Latin America.

Maryleana is a systems engineer from the University of Costa Rica with a Master's degree in Information Technology Administration from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Mexico.

Working as Secretary General of ASIET, a responsibility she has held for more than two years, she highlights the ongoing work to promote the development of telecommunications in Latin America, understanding the importance of the digital transformation of the region based on inclusive connectivity, allowing to bridge digital divides.
